At the inauguration of the Foundation Day, ITRA Director Professor Dr. Anil Kumar welcomed the guests and provided a brief overview of the institution’s mission, vision, and activities. He stated that over the past six years, ITRA has developed high-quality courses, research projects, and health programs in the field of Ayurvedic education.
The program this year focused specifically on three key topics:
1. Educational Initiatives – ITRA has offered courses in both online and offline formats, integrating traditional Ayurvedic knowledge with modern teaching methods. Additionally, internationally recognized diploma programs are being conducted.
2. Research and Development – ITRA’s research department has published several significant studies on the chemical analysis of Ayurvedic medicines, the verification of their medicinal properties, and their efficacy in disease treatment. In 2025, the institution received a grant of 50 lakh rupees from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a project titled “Comprehensive Analysis of Ayurvedic Herbs.”
3. Public Health and Community Service – ITRA has conducted health camps, disease diagnosis, and treatment programs in Jamnagar and surrounding rural areas. In 2026, free health check-ups and Ayurvedic treatment were provided to over 3,500 people. Furthermore, ITRA provided nutrition and health education to more than 10,000 families under the “Healthy Lifestyle Campaign.”
