Ayurveda Day: Ministry Celebrated the 11th Ayurveda Day under the Theme “Ayurveda for a Healthy Tomorrow”.

The Ministry of Ayurveda and Urban Affairs celebrated this year's Ayurveda Day under the theme "Ayurveda for a Healthy Tomorrow". On this occasion, Ayurvedic health awareness programs were organized in many cities at the national level. Ayurvedic experts, public health officials and urban planning experts from major cities met to discuss ways to integrate Ayurvedic treatments into the modern health system. During the programme, special workshops, public lectures and exhibitions were organized to strengthen Ayurvedic nutrition, lifestyle and psychological health, highlighting the use of Ayurvedic herbal medicine, drug manufacturing and digital health platforms.

On this occasion, the Ministry presented the outline of new policies to make Ayurvedic health widely available to the urban population. These policies include increasing the number of Ayurvedic clinics, integration of Ayurvedic departments in public hospitals, and inclusion of Ayurvedic health education in school curriculum in urban areas. Also, a National Ayurveda Portal was launched under the Digital Health Initiative, where citizens can get online consultation, medicine information and personalized health plan. The portal aims to make access to Ayurvedic care faster and easier by linking it with existing public health services.

The officials present said that reestablishing Ayurveda on scientific basis and adjusting it with urban lifestyle will contribute significantly to the achievement of national health goals. He also underlined that it is necessary to promote R&D to ensure the safety and effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatments, and in this direction the Ministry has strengthened collaboration with research institutes and private industries. Thus, the 11th Ayurveda Day not only honors traditional knowledge but also takes concrete steps towards establishing Ayurveda as a strategic component in the future health landscape.
