23 October 2026 – At the main stage of the NDTV World Summit, the Prime Minister outlined India’s new directions to the world through his address. In this multifaceted conference, the Prime Minister argued that today’s world moves forward not by the achievements of a single country alone, but through coordinated efforts and partnerships. He clarified that India is emerging not just as a developing nation but as a “Great Power” in global governance and economic stability.
During the address, the Prime Minister specifically mentioned his commitment to amplify the voice of the “Developing World.” He explained that India is playing a platform role for Global South countries by leveraging its economic strength and vast population, where development is impossible without commercial cooperation and technology transfer. He presented the process of “Inversion” as a positive shift, under which not only Western countries but also Asian and African nations are claiming equal footing at the global policy‑making table.
Regarding climate change and the energy crisis, the Prime Minister highlighted India’s progress toward becoming a “solar energy capital.” He argued that despite resource constraints, India has made renewable energy investment a national priority, playing a crucial role in reducing global carbon emissions. He claimed that this policy is not only beneficial for the environment but also presents the world with a new model of energy security that is affordable, stable, and clean.
Speaking on the youth generation and education, the Prime Minister defined the “Promise of Freedom” as a zero‑base approach, emphasizing not only the number of schools but also the quality of education and digital literacy. He said that with a population of 140 crore, most of whom are young, skill development is being prioritized to position them on the global competitive stage. He also stressed that India is functioning as a leading force for peace and dialogue worldwide through its cultural diversity and religious tolerance.
At the end of the address, the Prime Minister urged foreign investors, entrepreneurs, and global policymakers to invest in and collaborate with India. He said that India’s doors are now fully open, and its markets, legal transparency, and political stability present an attractive opportunity for global businessmen. Through this conference, India sent the message that in the coming decade the center of the global order will not be limited to the West alone; India and South Asia will play an effective and decisive role.
