On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) announced a significant initiative. The Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry held a meeting, during which two new magazines were launched: 'Udyami Mitra' and 'Udyam Prabha'. This event reaffirmed the commitment to promoting the Hindi language in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector and to delivering technical information to entrepreneurs in simple language.
During the meeting, various stakeholders engaged in an in-depth discussion on the importance of standardizing technical terminology in Hindi and translating industrial policies into Hindi. Officials from the MSME Ministry clarified that the primary objective of the 'Udyami Mitra' magazine is to connect new-age entrepreneurs with business advice, information on government schemes, and best practices. The magazine is designed to serve as a reliable companion or 'friend' for entrepreneurs.
On the other hand, the publication of the 'Udyam Prabha' magazine aims to highlight the rapidly changing trends, new technologies, and market trends in the industrial sector. Through this magazine, the Ministry seeks to reach entrepreneurs who face difficulties in understanding technical reports and analyses available in English. Members of the Hindi Advisory Committee suggested that references to regional languages could also be included in these magazines to ensure their effective availability to MSME units spread across various corners of the country.
It was also decided during the meeting that these magazines would be distributed through both digital and print media. The Hindi Advisory Committee of the MSME Ministry ensured that the information published in the magazines is accurate, timely, and practical. Communicating in the language of entrepreneurs is one of the government's top priorities, as it helps bridge the gap in business literacy.
Business experts present at the event praised this step, stating that publications like 'Udyami Mitra' and 'Udyam Prabha' symbolize a new beginning in the development of the MSME sector. The Hindi Advisory Committee also agreed on the dates for future meetings and the schedule for the regular publication of the magazines. This initiative will provide a new direction to efforts aimed at establishing Hindi as a business medium among entrepreneurs across the country, thereby enabling the maximum benefit from industrial policies. The Ministry announced that special issues of these magazines, focused on specific industrial segments, would also be published in the coming quarter.
