Central Home and Co‑operatives Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated development works worth 1472 crore rupees from Sabarmati Railway Station in Ahmedabad and launched the country’s first LNG train.

Ahmedabad, 27 September. Central Home and Co‑operation Minister Shri Amit Shah led a historic event today in Gujarat’s capital Ahmedabad. He inaugurated various development works completed at a total cost of 1,472 crore rupees from Sabarmati Railway Station. On this occasion, the minister also launched India’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) train, which is expected to start a new chapter in the country’s energy transport sector.

Sabarmati Railway Station, which has now been developed into a modern model station, has been awaited nationwide for this inauguration. The project includes expansion of station facilities, modernization of platforms, and construction of new amenities for passenger comfort. The large‑scale work costing 1,472 crore rupees will benefit rail passengers with better services and make station operations more efficient.
