A significant national workshop held in Gurugram, Haryana on October 12 and 13, 2026 has concluded. The workshop’s main theme was “Strengthening Digital Data Systems and Evidence-Based Learning under the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission.” The two‑day event aimed to take steps toward effective use of data, analysis, and policy formulation based on insights in the rural development sector.

During the workshop, experts and policymakers deeply discussed the importance of strengthening digital data systems. They emphasized that without modern technological solutions and accurate data, it is difficult to fully achieve the objectives of the National Rural Livelihood Mission. By adopting the principle of evidence‑based learning, decisions made at the administrative level can become more refined and effective. This will not only improve the living standards of rural communities but also enhance national development indicators.

The meeting in Gurugram was attended by officials from the central government, state governments, technical experts, and representatives of development organizations. Participants identified gaps in existing data collection processes and presented new models for digital integration. Discussions also highlighted the need to expand digital literacy and develop secure data‑management policies as essential for the successful implementation of the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana.

On the final day of the workshop, participants signed an agreement pledging to collaborate in improving data quality and availability in the coming years. The event was not only a technical meeting but also considered a milestone for the digital future of rural India. The discussions carried out in Gurugram clearly show that the government is prioritizing the use of technology to strengthen rural livelihoods.

The process of incorporating the outcomes of this national workshop into future action plans has begun. It is expected that implementing these insights will promote economic and social equity and better livelihood opportunities in rural areas. Efforts such as these under the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission are playing a crucial role in India’s digital transformation and rural development journey.
