The Prime Minister congratulated the men’s kabaddi team for retaining the gold medal at the Asian Games.

After winning the gold medal for the third consecutive time at the Asian Games, the Indian men’s kabaddi team re‑established India’s sporting strength on the international stage. The team defeated its opponents by a decisive margin in the final, earning praise from both spectators and experts. Following this success, the Prime Minister organized a special ceremony to personally congratulate the chief secretary of the National Sports Ministry, the team’s coach, captain, and all players. The Prime Minister said, “Your hard work, discipline, and team spirit have once again made India proud on the world stage. Your performance is not only an example in sport but also in national unity and courage.”

The Prime Minister also stated that the government will continue to invest in infrastructure, training facilities, and scientific support to make traditional sports such as kabaddi competitive at the international level. He wished the players continued success in future Asian and Olympic Games and announced that kabaddi would be further encouraged at the school and college levels to inspire the younger generation.
