Joint Operational Review and Evaluation (Core) Programme 2026 Held at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi
The National Defence Ministry organized this year’s Joint Operations Review and Evaluation (CORE) programme at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi, where senior officers of the Indian Armed Forces, policy‑makers of the Defence Ministry and representatives of several friendly nations including the United States, Japan, Australia and Israel participated. The main objective of the programme was to strengthen operational coordination among the various services, assess the lessons learned from recently conducted joint exercises, and develop an integrated strategy for future security challenges. In the two‑day session, expert panels and workshops were held on key topics such as strategic planning, cyber security, unmanned systems and logistical support.

At the conclusion of the programme, the Defence Minister said that CORE 2026 has provided a solid platform for measuring the joint readiness of the armed forces and will lay the foundation for future multinational operations. He also noted that this year’s evaluation placed particular emphasis on rapid response capabilities, space‑based communications and artificial‑intelligence‑driven decision‑making systems. The participating countries expressed a desire to align their national strategies with Indian defence policies and agreed on a tenure‑wise plan for upcoming joint exercises and training modules. Thus, CORE 2026 not only strengthened India’s security architecture but also gave a new dimension to regional stability through international cooperation.
